Governor presents 10th Dr Ambedkar Awards at Raj Bhavan Awards to Dr. N.A. Hegde ( Saibaba Hospital & Polyclinic )

The awards instituted by the Buddha Creation of Indian Cinema were presented in recognition of the social work done by the awardees during the Corona pandemic period.

‘Selfless service earns affection of people’: Governor

Addressing the gathering, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari said, there are wins and losses in electoral politics; but social work gives one immense satisfaction and earns you the affection of the people.

Congratulating the recipients of the Dr Ambedkar Awards, the Governor said each one of us must give at least some time for service to the people. Selfless service will give you joy and peace of mind, he added.

The Governor said the thoughts of Dr BabasahebAmbedkar will continue to inspire future generations for many years.

Three organisations, ISKCON Juhu, St Peters Church and IUV Foundation of India were honoured for their social work during the Corona period.

The Governor also presented the Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Awards to Lyricist, Composer and singer TanishkBagchi, Dr. N. A. Hegde of Sai Baba Hospital, businessman Mehul Mehta, social worker Dr. Abdul RehmanWanoo, Jaiprakash Goyal, Sanjay MurlidharPawar and SheetalSamrat.
